Isadora Fanny Howe Shaw

(b.Nov. 21, 1851, d.Mar. 15, 1937)

known to the present generation of the Kent Family as "Nana Burt's mother", was the daughter of Abel Parmenter Howe of Framingham, MA & Rutland, VT, and Almary Root of Greenwich, MA. Her Great great great Grandfather, David Howe (Nov 2 1674-Aug 3 1759) founded the Wayside Inn of Sudbury. Fanny Shaw was interested in family history and geneology, and , I believe, wrote at length about her family, the Roots and the Howes. I have a book of geneologies, written by her in which the following entry appears about the Howe Family. Fanny Shaw was married to Civil War hero John Hamilton Shaw.
