Before WebScheduler
Surgeons and scheduling nurses called the Registry's office manager, who wrote the request on a magnetic strip and transferred it to a wall calendar. The patient information was recorded in the Registry log. Changes or cancellations required another round of calls. All clients received confirming Faxes. Scheduling information was transferred to a complex series of Outlook calendars and Excel spreadsheets. Each add-on or cancelled patient required phone calls, faxes and data entered in three separate files by the surgery scheduler.
